Available in either natural linden wood of the finest quality, kiln-dried with posterior support beams or in okoume marine plywood. Select from either flat or recessed painting surfaces, in a variety of sizes. The surface is specially prepared for icon painting with multiple layers of a special gesso mixture of chalk and organic glue, fortified with cloth (gauze) guaranteeing the highest degree of adhesion and durability. Thorough processing of the surface follows so that the final result is completely smooth and even, ideal for polished water gilding and icon painting.
