Saint George is depicted seated on an elaborately embroidered throne holding a cross with both of his hands. He is dressed in a blue tunic with gold ornamentations. He wears a red military cloak over his tunic with gold stitching. All along the perimeter of the icon, fourteen different scenes from the life and martyrdom of the Saint are portrayed.
