This icon of the Holy Trinity portrays three Divine Persons: the Unoriginate Father, the Co-unoriginate Son and the Holy Spirit. The Father is depicted as an old man clad in white (the Ancient of Days) who sits upon a heavenly cloud and holds a sphere symbolizing the world together with His Son and Word who sits at His right hand. The Holy Spirit “in the form of a dove” flies above them shining in heavenly glory. The three Persons of the Holy Trinity are surrounded by six-winged Seraphim and Cherubim.
