When she first heard about Christ, she went to Him and He liberated her from seven demons that had tortured her for many years, and so she became His disciple. Indeed, it was she who, after the Lord’s Resurrection, came first to the tomb with fragrances, and to whom the angels dressed in white announced the Resurrection of Christ. Afterwards, she went to Ephesus, to Saint John the Theologian, where she died. Her holy relics are today found at various Monasteries of Mount Athos.
